A one-day international conference about graphic design as a cultural object in the digital age. Focusing on and departing from graphic design, this event aims to open space for a broader discussion of the opportunities and challenges opened up by the digital, drawing from several disciplines including design history, digital history and humanities, communication sciences, museum studies, archival studies, and interaction design.
The conference is part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) and aims to respond to its motto, “Our Heritage. Where the past meets the future”.
The event will take place at Palazzo Badoer, Università Iuav di Venezia, Calle della Laca 2468, San Polo, Venice. The event will be mostly in English.
